My next review: Opposition

Hey, so my next review is going to be on Opposition! Finally reviewing the last book!

It's finally time :( time for me to do my last review on the Lux series, I have read opposition quite a few times now, but I'll never tire of reading it. However before I do review it for you guys, I'm actually going to re-read the book again to freshen my self up, if I'm gonna do a review then I'll do it properly.

It's such a sad moment, I remember getting the first three books cause they were the only ones out at the time, and doing that huge wait for Origin, Opposition and Oblivion, and now they have ended and I'm not ready to let them go! Maybe subconsciously, I believe that by not doing the last review that they will continue to grow and exist in my time frame, instead of me finally letting go. I loved the series so much, honestly they're amazing! I am so picky about books, and I'm skeptical on things that are alien-related, however this gave me a new found hope for such books!

Anyway I'll be back once I've re-read it to post its review, be sure to check in and look at it! Why not leave a comment as well?

I'm sorry I've been so inconsistent with my posts!

Hey Guys! Another post literally straight after the other one to apologise for the same reason: my absence and inconsistent posting!

I realise that I have been really bad consistently about posting for you guys and providing you with book reviews, I really can't help it: as everyone knows something always comes up that pulls our attention away from the things we love most!

I'm quite picky about books which is one of the reasons why I started up my blog here, because I wouldn't do it if I didn't think the books were that good, and worthy of your guys eager eyes for the stories held within the pages of those musty smelling books, that take us a million miles away from our own lives and let us live someone else's for a little while.

I know for definite this time that I will be posting more often from now on wards, because there isn't much of a distraction now as before, however, when I know that I'm going to be dormant for awhile instead of just disappearing, I'll actually post about it and let you guys know so its easier that way and when I'm back I'll make another little post!

However moving on from that, I know that in my last post I recommended that you all check out Touched by Elisa S.Amore, and that I knew I would definitely be checking it out. And as it just so turns out I'd actually bought that book the day of that post, and although it took me ages to get around to reading it (approximately 4 months due to distractions) I started reading it on Sunday 12th June, and finished it within a couple of days, which then pushed me to buy the second book and after finishing that the other day I went on to buy one of the prequels. Now while I won't do a review now because the Lux series isn't finished, I'll tell you one thing: the series is so amazing! Even as I've gotten older, I still love Young Adult Paranormal Love Stories! I won't say anymore on the book in fear of spoiling it too much before my review for it.
I will just say that I am eagerly awaiting the next book in the instalment, as the last one ended on a huge cliff hanger, and I know that cliff hangers kill me, don't know about you guys?!

Anyway, heres the cover and description for it again:

Based On A Norwegian Legend
A Sealed Fate
An Angel of Death
A Forbidden Love
“As seductive as Meet Joe Black. As mysterious as City of Angels. As powerful as Twilight.”

What are you willing to sacrifice when the only person who can save you is the same one who has to kill you?

After vampires and werewolves, after wizards and fallen angels, a new breed of Angels is here to usher you into their dark world. An ancient, deadly, inescapable race.
No one can see them. They’re shadows of destiny. They’re knights of death. They’re the Subterraneans and they’re here to claim our lives. Commanded by a mysterious congregation called the Màsala, the Angels of Death ensure that each man’s destiny takes its due course on Earth.
But what happens when love intervenes?
Can an Angel of Death deny his own nature and challenge destiny?
Can love rebel against fate?

When Gemma’s eyes first meet the dark, piercing gaze of Evan James, an ominous shadow creeps into her life, ultimately leading her to face her destiny. She doesn't realize Evan is one of Death's soldiers and that Death is summoning her.
Her time is up: Gemma must die . . . and Evan has been sent to kill her.
But what if she’s the only one who can truly see him?

Against every rule. Against fate itself. Against everything and everyone. A story of forbidden love and star-crossed destinies.

Dark. Romantic. Dangerous.

Seriously guys check it out! You'll love it! Its addictive!

I will be bloging again soon! Also check out this new book (Touched Saga)

I know I have not posted in a while, but I will be doing more reviews soon!

Hey, I know I haven't posted in so long, and I'm sorry for that! However, I've just been really busy, but I have loads of new books to post about! And will be doing so soon.

Maybe I haven't been uploading because subconsciously I know I'll be finishing the Lux series :( and I don't think I'm ready for that or to admit that it's over!

Anyway I just wanted you guys to know  how sorry I am and that I'll be doing more in the near future. But what I also find really weird is that an account created on facebook for a book, added me today, so if your into like falling angels, and werewolves and vampires, maybe give this a look: it/they are called "The Touched Saga" by Elisa S. Amore.

If you like the sound of that then definitely check it out! I'll probably be buying it soon and uploading a review as I very much like the sound of it!

My latest read: Origin

My latest read: Origin (Lux #4) so I just finished re-reading Origin, sorry it took me so long!!

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.
After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he's facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.
All Katy can do is survive.
Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don't seem entirely crazy, but the group's goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?
Together, they can face anything.
But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?

Does this book not sound amazing to you? Because even after re-reading the books I am not tired of them, I just fall more in love with them after every page I have read. However I have finished reading Opposition which is the last book in the series and to be honest I cannot get over any of the events in that. Its just really different for me to read this book again knowing what happens in the next, it gives you a whole different view point.

I mean seeing how far Daemon was willing to go to get Katy back makes you want the kind of love they have because its so heart-achingly beautiful! Because from previous books we all know Daemon is not a "wear your feelings on your sleeve" kind of guy.

And there are many times through out the book (I don't know about you guys) where it had my throat constricting from trying not to cry, reading what Katy had to go through emotionally and physically was heart breaking, but then experiencing how it affected Daemon made it even worse because you should not have to witness you soul mate going through so much pain.

When Kate kills Blake, I'll be honest it was crazy knowing he got what was coming to him, but I think he should have been taken out in Opal, because he was causing everyone so much grief and aggravation. But then again, having the enemy killed so soon was what everyone would have wanted and expected, so well done to Jennifer for doing something different from the status quo.

Archer as a character was a very good guy, it was just unfortunate he could not help Katy sooner to stop her going through so much, but he needed Daedalus to respect him as the soldier he was being seen as. And as for Luc, it was nice to know Daemon and Katy had someone they could count on getting help from, even if it was limited and conditional on them getting the LH-11 (and his purpose for it gets revealed it Opposition)

Mattew's betrayal was harsh, because although people/ aliens go to drastic measures to keep there families safe, it doesn't mean trading one in the keep the rest, it means sticking it out and finding a way, to fight together, no matter how long it takes to earn your freedom. It was quite shocking when Dawson turned out to be the one to kill Mattew, and not Daemon instead.

As I said previously, family means sticking together, and just after Mattews betrayal which leads us up to the main events of the book, everyone has to make a choice to back out and hide or to fight for the right thing, for family. And that is what Ash and Andrew then do, they chose family...

The main event of the book was really shocking because it shows how desperate and ruthless Daedalus are just to get Daemon and Katy back under their whim.  And this is where the group had to fight, but in the crossfire a lot of humans had been injured and hurt due to Daedalus' need to get the pair back. Out of a group of ten (Paris, Luc, Archer, Katy, Daemon,  Dawson, Dee, Beth, Ash and Andrew) I did not expect their to be three deaths on the groups part. It was heartbreaking experiencing Paris' loyalty to Luc (despite the fact we do not know their history) as Paris pushes Luc out of the way from a shot from a PEP weapon (which is fatal to a Luxen, Hybrid, or Origin) and takes the hit instead instantly killing him. Next to go is Andrew who gets taken out by an Arum  working for Daedalus,  as Ash watches stricken by both her brothers deaths. And then she dies next, protecting Beth, who was about to take a hit from a PEP weapon also, that was quite a hard moment because Daemon was quite torn up about it too.

I would love to explain more on that, because a lot of you readers might feel angry at him and see it as a betrayal to Katy, however it is not and that can be understood through reading the book!!

The end is the biggest shocker of all, because if the story ended with it being happy, then  there would be unrest amongst us readers, and what needs to be understood if you have not read all of the books is that neither humans nor the elders said it was okay for human and Luxen to mingle and heal. So from that you know there is always someone or something trying to keep the couples apart, so try and take a guess at what is going to happen in the next novel ;)

Anyway, I  hoped you enjoyed this thorough review :)
Peace out until the next review guys :)

The worst thing about having books and being organised!!

So I am going to have a rant about having books, and trying to be organized with my posts!

The worst part about having books, is the fact I have over 50 and they just happen to be 60 miles away, and while that does not sound too bad, they are crazy f***ing heavy! And I don't happen to drive at all, so does one of you amazing readers want to come and give me a lift? Because getting all of my books would be amazing and would mean I would not have to stop and start with my posts on here which leads on the what I would love to moan about next - trying to be organized with my posts and publish them according to their order in a series, without any interruptions from other books, means that unless I have the specific book needed and have re-read it then there will not be a post getting published any god damn time soon! Meaning that while I may have another 50 books, either in Kindle or paper back form makes no difference because I cannot do I review on them until I have finished reviewing the current series I am on!

Don't get me wrong, I prefer a paper back to a Kindle (although I have a lot of love for my kindle!) its just holding the actual crispy pieces of paper in your hands and smelling the smell that only a book can hold is more satisfying. But trying to lug as many paperbacks 60 miles just happens to be a pain in the ass!

Another thing I struggle with is once I have started a series in paper back form and then have to get the rest in paperback, which unfortunately happens to just be slightly more expensive. And if I love a series then I will but in it paper back form anyway!

Rant over.
Peace out guys :)
Leave a comment and I'll be sure to et back to you :)

I watched this trailer years ago, and to be honest it inspired me to watch 90210 where the majority of the clips are from, but its amazing - Watch it!!

So I thought I'd share this video with all you amazing people because I thought the video was worth sharing ;)

So here is a fan made trailer which was really well put together, and if I'm honest with you guys, well, I really hate fan made trailers but not this one, because it is so amazing, it helped  me to push myself to buy the Obsidian series so I could read it because it made it look so amazing, and also inspired me to watch 90210 where the majority of the clips in the trailer are from, based on characters Annie and Liam (and by the way, Liam is so so hot!!) both of them have such a strong chemistry together in the series and it was good in portraying Daemon and Katie's relationship, that love - hate thing they have going with the explosive chemistry ;)

Anyway, it is totally worth watching, so check it out here:
Enjoy and peace out ;)

Totally unrelated, but who has seen A Cinderella Story with Hilary Duff in it?

Is it just me that thinks the movie A Cinderella Story teach's good life lessons and sets realistic goals?

After just Watching A Cinderella Story again, it made me realise that it teach's valuable lesson's in life and values that we should all have? Something to aspire to.

First off, this was the first time I'd seen Hilary Duff, I may have seen glimpses of her in Lizzie Maguire which is where she acquired her fame but I never watched a whole episode or regularly watched it until about a year ago? When my little sister watched the episodes on youtube, sadly we never reach the last episode though. I think Hilary Duff is amazing, she was like an idol to me after I watched A Cinderella Story at the age of ten. Her character Sam is really important because in the beginning of the film she is a true representation of how most people feel; it's easy to be bossed around, and to feel timid and helpless and like you have to do what others say, but she shows us throughout the film that you should always be yourself and not let others drag you down, that if something bad happens and you feel like you have nothing left, then you should pick yourself up and carry on going. I always loved her dress sense, although it was slightly tom-boyish, the converse with combats and the t-shirt that revealed the smallest sliver of stomach was an amazing combination to me. And her personality was amazing, she was strong despite her crappy life, and she still managed to smile and life which shows her positivity.

Most people could say that "hey it's just a film! and Sam is only a character" but this is one of those films that is actually someone else's reality, because you can't say that out of the seven billion people in this world - this set of events has not happened to one person, because it reality it has. Now if there was a unicorn or dragon in it then it wouldn't be someone's reality unless they were on meth.

The film teach's us that it's okay to be the people we are and continue to be them through judgement, that no matter how bad a person is to us for any length of time, we should never let it change us because it's not worth it.

Not to mention that Chad Michael Murray also just happens to be a hottie ;) I had a crush on him ever since I saw him, and then it continued when I saw him in One Tree Hill as Lucas Scott. This aspect of the film teach's us that there are good guys out there that perfectly suit us - even though it may not appear that way, we shouldn't be so judgemental, be more open and look more closely because you could be walking past your soul mate at any given moment. And even though you could be waiting years for them, in the end it's worth it.

I'm pretty sure I had more to say on the film, more little thoughts and theories, but it has all fled me in the time I have taken to write this, so I will leave it at that and I won't make your ears bleed
Peace out guys ;)
